SAFER USDOT Extractor

Privacy Policy — SAFER USDOT Extractor

Effective date: October 9, 2026  ·  Contact: aamirtechsdotcom@gmail.com

SAFER USDOT Extractor ("the extension") is built by Dispatch Authority to help truck dispatchers vet motor carriers using public FMCSA data. This policy explains what information the extension handles and why.

1.Data stored on your device

The extension stores your working data locally in your browser (Chrome local storage), including:

This local data never leaves your device except as described in sections 2–4 below. Uninstalling the extension deletes it.

2.License activation

The extension requires a license key. When you activate (and roughly every 24 hours after), the extension sends your license key and a device identifier to our licensing server (safer-licensing.saferusdot.workers.dev) to verify the key is valid. If your device is offline, the extension keeps working for a 7-day grace period. Requesting a key by email shares only the email address you write from.

Device information. Each license check also records the device’s IP address and coarse location derived from that IP (city, region/state, country, timezone) plus the Internet provider (ISP/organization). This is used for licensing enforcement and abuse prevention only, is visible solely in our private admin console, and is never shared or sold. Nicknames shown in the admin device list are labels our team assigns to tell devices apart. You can request deletion of this data at any time via the contact email below.

3.Usage logging

To enforce plan limits and prevent abuse, the extension sends counts and identifiers of your searches (e.g. USDOT/MC numbers looked up, newest-carrier discovery runs) to our backend. No personal information beyond what is needed for licensing is included.

4.Fleet, load, broker & team snapshots

To power account-level insights, the extension periodically sends a compact snapshot of the operational data you entered yourself — your driver/truck roster, your load board entries, your broker list, and — on the Team plan — your team roster, tasks, shift handoffs, shift schedules, pinned notices, team activity feed, direct-shipper list (customer names and contact details you entered), carrier packets, claims, quote log, and commission splits — to our backend, tied to your license key. This contains only the business details you typed in (names, units, cities, rates); it never includes passwords, payment details, or browsing activity. Load documents you upload (rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs) are stored only on your own device and are never sent to our servers. You can request deletion of these records at any time via the contact email below.

5.Third-party services

The extension contacts these public services to do its job. Your requests go directly to them under their own policies:

6.Browser permissions — why each is needed

7.What we never do

8.Data retention and your choices

Local data is deleted when you uninstall the extension. To request deletion of licensing/usage records held on our server, email us at the address above and we will remove them.

9.Children's privacy

The extension is a professional tool for the trucking industry and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10.Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
